Catholic Charities of Archdiocese of Washington

For more than 80 years, families, children and adults in need of help and hope have been able to turn to Catholic Charities to find comprehensive, caring and competent support. Last year, our more than 65 programs working in 48 locations across the District of Columbia and the surrounding Maryland counties served more than 116,000 men, women and children of all economic, religious and social backgrounds.

Chesapeake Bay Foundation

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to the restoration and protection of the Chesapeake Bay in the United States. It was founded in 1967 and has headquarters offices in Annapolis, Maryland.


Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Trust

Founded in 2007, the C&O Canal Trust is the official nonprofit partner of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park. Its mission is to work in partnership with the National Park Service to protect, restore, and promote the C&O Canal. The Trust engages communities and individuals to realize the Park’s historical, natural, and recreational potential.

Food and Friends

Food & Friends is the only organization in the Washington, DC, area providing specialized, nutritious meals, groceries, nutrition counseling and friendship to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses. Food & Friends’ staff of professional chefs and community dietitians design meals that meet the special dietary needs of persons living with a broad range of illnesses. Our confidential services are free of charge to individuals and their families and caregivers living throughout Washington, DC, 7 counties of Maryland and 7 counties and 6 independent cities of Virginia. The service area encompasses approximately 5,300 square miles.

The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC

The First Tee provides young people with character-building and life skills lessons using golf as the platform. Through The First Tee, young people discover how skills essential to success on a golf course can also help them flourish in life.


The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington

The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington strives to create a vibrant and purposeful Jewish community through caring for those in need, deepening engagement in Jewish life, and strengthening the bonds among Jews in the Washington area, in Israel, and around the world. In the spirit of tzedaka, Federation develops philanthropic resources, robust Jewish leadership, creative programmatic initiatives and partnerships to build and maintain a strong Jewish community locally and worldwide.
